Prayer for the Purification Service, April 23/September 23 (Twice Yearly): 

Catholic Divine Project, WSPN and Brethren of Divine Community JERICHO EVE

Prayers for the purification in line with the church's Sacrament of Reconciliation;

The leader of the prayer leads the usual way ( before the Apostle creed 7 glory be's, at the apostles creed, we use WE BELIEVE in place I BELIEVE and maintain check point mantra at each appropriate time,

After each mantra follows the next decade and its Bible Reading let us listen)

Antiphon FIRST READER: 

Joshua 3:5: 

And Joshua said unto the people, purify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.

ALL: LORD WE HEAR AND HAVE COME TO YOU TO BE PURIFIED, HELP US TO DO THIS THROUGH YOUR SUFFICIENT GRACE.

FIRST READER: 

psalm51:1-2: 

1 Have mercy on me, O God,

    according to your unfailing love;

according to your great compassion

    blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash away all my iniquity

    and cleanse me from my sin.

Matthew. 7:21-22, 

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’

ALL: Lord here we are we have come to do your will.

SECOND READER: 

Ezekiel.33:11

11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

FOURTH SORROWFUL MYSTERY

Mark 7:21-23

21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person."

ALL: Our Lady of Mount Carmel purify the church of your son.

FIFTH SORROWFUL MYSTERY

Hail Holy Queen and the rest of the concluding prayers of the rosary after which follows the purification talk by an appointed person of the project. 

Note: The Purification prayer above may hold Simultaneously with Sacrament of Reconciliation or alternatively be concluded before or after the sacrament of Reconciliation as may be agreed with the Parish Priest but should start not  earlier than 5pm.
