Prayer for the Purification Service, April 23/September 23 (Twice Yearly):

Prayers for the purification in line with the church's Sacrament of Reconciliation;
The leader of the prayer leads the usual way ( before the Apostle creed 7 glory be's, at the apostles creed, we use WE BELIEVE in place I BELIEVE and maintain check point mantra at each appropriate time,
After each mantra follows the next decade and its Bible Reading let us listen)
Antiphon FIRST READER:
Joshua 3:5:
And Joshua said unto the people, purify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
ALL: LORD WE HEAR AND HAVE COME TO YOU TO BE PURIFIED, HELP US TO DO THIS THROUGH YOUR SUFFICIENT GRACE.

1 Have mercy on me, O God,

Note: The Purification prayer above may hold Simultaneously with Sacrament of Reconciliation or alternatively be concluded before or after the sacrament of Reconciliation as may be agreed with the Parish Priest but should start not earlier than 5pm.
